Young entrepreneurs are at the center of APEC’s growth—driving job creation, innovation and regional economic growth, and contributing to APEC’s vision for an open, dynamic, resilient and peaceful Asia-Pacific community by 2040, for the prosperity of all our people and future generations. Yet they face uneven access to finance, skills, digital tools, and institutional and policy support, which further hinder young entrepreneurs. With the theme Entrepreneurship Engine, Youth-Led Change: for a Prosperous Asia-Pacific for All, this event focuses on bridging digital divides and sharing experiences among young entrepreneurs, facilitating dialogues between young entrepreneurs and investors, and deepening regional collaboration, to turn youth ambition into viable business practices and boost economic growth. The event includes (1) a youth entrepreneurship campus in Hangzhou for young entrepreneurs aged 25 to 40 to build a team on site, design, validate and present business models, to gain entrepreneurship hands-on tools and viable frameworks; (2) thematic discussions on AI, light start-ups^① and digital trade, and an investment dialogue to help the young entrepreneurs to better understand the logic of investment, and build investors’ confidence in youth-led ventures; and (3) an urban entrepreneurship ecosystem visit in Hangzhou and Guangzhou to provide concrete, experiential learning for young founders.
