Gender inequality remains a persistent challenge in the Asia-Pacific region, with the gender pay gap and inequalities, a key reflection of enduring barrier to women’s full economic participation. This project seeks to strengthen economies’ capacity to design evidence-based policy and reporting mechanisms that enhance productivity and resilience by ensuring that all workers are recognised, rewarded and supported to contribute to the region’s economic growth.
This project aims to strengthen technical understanding of pay transparency and workforce inclusion reporting across APEC economies, and support exchange of institutional models, regulatory options, and data methodologies that support structural reform efforts across the region. The project will also produce a practical reference or playbook that documents pathways for economies to enhance inclusive workforce reporting and regulatory practices.
