This project focuses on key challenges in the energy sector of APEC economies, including energy security, system enhancement, uneven costs and financing, and barriers to technology adoption. A special seminar will be conducted on how energy storage can empower APEC economies to build energy resilience and achieve their energy goals.

It is planned that one thematic seminars will be conducted between September and November 2026. Policymakers, energy enterprises, and research institutions from APEC economies will discuss energy storage-enabled power system development, electricity market design, advanced technology promotion, exemplary project sharing, and cross-border cooperation. The event aims to drive energy storage innovation and digital empowerment, support locally tailored energy systems, enhance regional energy security, , and foster regional collaboration and industrial co-benefits.
