Project Summary

Objectives:

This project builds on the digital health and AI initiatives proposed by Chinese Taipei in 2025, aiming to deepen economies’ understanding of the current landscape of health AI governance, strengthen mutual learning, and identify directions for future regional cooperation.

Planned Actions:

The project consists of two core components: (1) a Health AI Governance Baseline Survey to systematically capture economies’ policies, governance frameworks, governing principles, and practical challenges; and (2) the 2026 APEC Digital Health Policy Dialogue, to be held in Taipei in Oct 2026, providing a platform to discuss survey findings, share experiences, and jointly explore future actions.

Project outcomes will be consolidated and reported at Dec 2026 and will inform future SWGDH work.
