Project Summary

*

As global interconnectivity continues to deepen, educational cooperation across economies has become both more feasible and essential. The 2026 ALCom consists of ACE (APEC Learning Community Builders (ALCoB) Cooperative Exchange project) and APLC (ALCoB Professional Learning Community). In this context, ALCom aims to expand such cooperation by facilitating teacher collaboration in primary and secondary education, enabling them to build partnerships with counterparts from other economies and strengthening collaborative teaching practices by leveraging digital technologies. In parallel, the initiative will support teacher-led research through the APLC, organized in the form of professional communities focused on contemporary themes in education fields, including APEC-related modules for primary and secondary level education, AI-assisted teaching practices, and education trends in APEC economies. Summaries of research outcomes will be shared publicly through the Institute of APEC Collaborative Education website.

Participants are expected to strengthen global competencies and improve teaching practices, contributing to more collaborative and future-oriented education systems across the region.
