With the rapid development and application of digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, digital industrial clusters (e.g. high-technology industrial zone, innovation hub, technology valley, hi-tech park, technology corridor etc.) are rapidly expanding. For APEC economies, building digital industrial clusters helps stimulate regional innovation vitality and enhance economic development. Economies across the region have supported digital industrial cluster development through releasing strategic policies, optimizing spatial industrial layouts, and enhancing digital technology innovation capabilities. This project proposes to host a workshop for APEC economies to 1) analyze current trends and future challenges in digital industrial cluster development, 2) share relevant policies, best practices and cases of managing digital industrial cluster, and 3) enhance the capacity of economies to promote digital industrial clusters development.
