Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) offer a multitude of benefits including improved safety, efficiency, and resiliency. They also bring exposure to new and complex cyber threats, which can disrupt trade, endanger safety, and erode trust in digital operations. As transportation sector digitalization accelerates, APEC economies must be equipped to prepare for, prevent, detect, respond, and recover from cyber incidents in the transport sector. This project will build cyber resilience across APEC ITS through a series of complementary activities: hosting two regional dialogues and the development of a transport cyber hygiene toolkit that will lay the foundation for a regional roadmap on risk management, awareness, and preparedness. Together, these activities aim to improve operational readiness, human awareness, and cyber hygiene across transportation sectors (i.e., aviation, maritime, rail, road), supporting economies to move from cyber awareness to sustained resilience.
