Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in most APEC economies. This project seeks to support economies to improve lung cancer outcomes through the development of an APEC Roadmap for Lung Cancer Prevention and Control. The roadmap will set targets for expanding access to prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care, while also addressing best practices for increasing financing and battling stigma. APEC economies will have an opportunity to inform the content of the roadmap by sharing their strategies for prevention and control of cancer through virtual consultations. The roadmap will be launched at a policy dialogue during the SOM3 Health Working Group (HWG) meetings in August 2026.
