Energy security has been a long-term priority and theme for APEC. In recent years, frequent localized energy supply shortages and power outages caused by abnormal climate, natural disasters, unforeseen events and supply chains disruption have made energy security and access to be more important. Recognizing the concerns, the project undertakes to hold APEC Think Tank Forum, focusing on energy security, universal access, energy and AI, and related cooperation, by leveraging the supporting role of Think Tanks in energy. Through formats such as keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, roundtable discussions, and outcome releases, the activity aims to deepen academic exchange and policy discussions, build consensus, support series of APEC meetings, and promote secure and affordable energy development in the Asia-Pacific region.
