This project, spearheaded by Beijing Science and Technology Innovation Medical Development Foundation in collaboration with regional research hospitals’ achievement transformation centers and digital innovation departments, aims to explore the current applications and future potential of digital intelligence in transforming healthcare across APEC economies. Digital intelligence in healthcare is the use of AI, data analytics, and other advanced technologies to analyze medical information. By fostering cross-border partnerships, the project aims to strengthen capacity building in emerging medical technologies, enhance digital health connectivity, and promote inclusive and equal access to cutting-edge innovations. We plan to organise a workshop around late 2025 or early 2026, focusing on the current status, implementation approaches, key challenges and future directions of digital intelligence in healthcare among APEC economies. Discussions will center on inclusive innovation to bridge healthcare gaps, policy frameworks discussion and secure solutions, and enhancing APEC-wide collaboration through standardisation and partnerships. Data security remains a top priority throughout these efforts. The workshop will product a summary report.
