Building on a successful 2024 pilot in Vietnam, this project aims to enhance sustainable tourism capabilities for government and industry stakeholders. It will develop three Sustainable Tourism and Destination Management learning programs, focusing on best practices and encouraging APEC economies to integrate these principles into policies and operations.

The program will be developed in English and tailored for Thailand and the Philippines, in cooperation with local stakeholders. Training will be delivered through self-paced online modules, developed by an accredited training provider engaged by Australia. An explanatory session will be held during a 2026 APEC TWG meeting, and the English program will be accessible to all economies.
