This proposal identifies and analyzes the implementation of guidelines in the Meetings Industry segment of the Asia-Pacific region. The project objective is to execute recommendations for potential guidelines in order to enhance tourism development and potential, such as the benefits that a destination can achieve by diversifying its offer and focusing its efforts towards the MICE segment in the different destinations of the APEC region.
Likewise, the importance of the implementation of this guidance document, which will present recommendations for potential guidelines, represents great relevance in the industry and identifies development baselines in the regions for the MICE segment and the articulation with governmental, regional and local authorities and leaders of the meetings industry.
