Output 1 - One-Day Conference
The one-day conference will be conducted fully in-person and will explore strategic actions for health information sharing in the public and private sectors, and is committed to facilitating APEC economies and the international community to exchange information and experience in eliminating cervical cancer.

I. The conference is scheduled to be held in Taipei City in March 2025. The conference will feature one session in the morning and two sessions in the afternoon, with the total conference duration estimated to be approximately7-8 hours. Following each session, there will be a discussion segment, during which experts will be invited to share their experiences and the latest scientific research findings related to cervical cancer prevention. The conference will conclude with a summary segment to recap key discussions and recommendations resulting from the Conference.

II. The conference will invite experts from APEC co-sponsoring economies who are dedicated to cervical cancer elimination intervention strategies to nominate moderators or speakers. Additionally, experts implementing relevant strategies from APEC member economies and international organizations will also be invited. They will introduce the latest developments in related fields, and share practical experiences, and discuss the prevention and treatment of cervical cancer. Experts will be recommended to attend the conference in person to have more engaged interactions.

III. In order to improve the cervical cancer prevention and control capabilities of APEC economies, the conference will aim to share (1) HPV vaccination strategies, data establishment, and monitoring of adverse reactions (2)cervical cancer screening strategies (Pap smear, HPV testing), difficulties, obstacles and responses to screening abnormality tracking, treatment, and cervical cancer prevention. etc., hoping to enable APEC members to work together toward the goal of eliminating cervical cancer. During each session,20-30 minutes will be allocated for discussion between the participants and speakers.

IV. Total participants: The conference aims to invite 80 participants, including5-6 speakers, who will be public health officers and researchers, health care workers, pharmaceutical professionals, and other relevant stakeholders from APEC member economies.

V. A questionnaire survey will be conducted upon completion of the conference to assess the satisfaction of participants and experts, as well as to collect feedback and suggestions.

Output 2 - Conference Report
Report will be produced after the completion of the conference, which will not be published by APEC but will be disseminated through the HPA's website and shared with all the participants and interested stakeholders.

The Report will consist of an introduction, table of contents, topic-based summaries of presentations, the results of the surveys, conclusions, and key findings and recommendations. In total, it will have at least 12 pages excluding annexes.

Outcome
Through this international conference, participants from APEC member economies will be able to share informationfrom their respective economies, raise awareness on the prevention and control of cervical cancer elimination,improve HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening and treatment, and use information monitoring etc., thisknowledge acquisition and information dissemination will be measured through a questionnaire survey that will askparticipants what practices or recommendations they would apply in the workplace.

The project will support ongoing consultation, information exchange and collaboration among health sector experts across APEC economies on approaches to the management of non-communicable and chronic diseases. It is expected to effectively increase the HPV vaccination rate, cervical cancer screening rate and treatment rate in APEC member economies, and move towards the WHO's goal of eliminating cervical cancer.

Beneficiaries
APEC member economies, policymakers (such as government officials, and public health officials), service providers (such as health care providers, medical managers, and medical institutions), and relevant scholars (engaged in the elimination of cervical cancer) Cervical cancer-related researchers/scholars/analysts), schools and medical institutions, or students and the public who are interested in this topic (such as people who have received the HPV vaccine or cervical cancer screening and treatment), etc. During the conference, participants will share and discuss information and strategies related to the elimination of cervical cancer, and participate in discussions to enhance their understanding of this issue. We hope that through the sharing of professional information and practical experience, participants can understand the effective strategic actions taken by APEC member economies, learn from the experiences of other economies, improve the execution capabilities of action plans, and adopt best practices to formulate health promotion plans, increase HPV vaccination rates, cervical cancer screening rates, and treatment rates, thereby improving women’s health and economic growth in APEC member economies.

The direct beneficiaries and the APEC non-member participation process are as follows:

(1) Government officials (including health policymakers and public health officials in health promotion and medical affairs departments);
(2) Health care providers and medical managers;
(3) NGOs and international organizations such as WHO;
(4) Researchers in the fields of health services, digital health technologies, epidemiology, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology to participate and contribute.
Through sharing experiences and knowledge about strategies to promote women's health and reduce cervical cancer mortality in this conference, we expect that the audience will directly benefit in three ways:
(1) Learn the successful experiences from other economies.
(2) Adopt the effective way to reduce cervical cancer mortality.
(3) Gain the knowledge to develop strategies to address the challenges faced.

Long-term or indirect beneficiaries: APEC economies will benefit from this project by raising the awareness and willingness of investment by stakeholders. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to use the knowledge and information they gain during the conference to influence secondary beneficiaries (such as women in APEC communities who are prone to cervical cancer) in their respective economies. The project will lay the foundation for future actions by public health authorities and healthcare professionals across APEC economies.
