The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the need to seek mechanisms to strengthen resilience in tourism through travel facilitation, focused on the dissemination of reliable information, the streamlining of entry processes to economies as initiatives proposed by the public and private sectors.
In this regard, a virtual event will be held on facilitating access to travel and tourism information, through the use of digital tools, to generate greater opportunities for the supply and demand of tourist destinations, reducing waiting and service times, as well as contributing to sustainability. The results of this workshop will serve as a reference for future travel facilitation initiatives, in addition to providing a compilation of best practices that will be presented by APEC economies.
